Our Story

The idea for Elevāt was conceived when Co-Founder Julie Johnson visited a developing nation. Her heart went out to women struggling to sell their beautiful handmade products in the streets for minimal profits in hopes of supporting their families.

After looking poverty in the face she knew she had to do something. That something was Elevāt.

The goal of Elevāt is to empower women to support themselves and their families out of dangerous situations.  

Elevāt helps this process by partnering with organizations around the globe to identify artisan women creating beautiful handmade fashion accessories in impoverished regions and bring them to the world marketplace.  

Every product purchased helps women in developing countries build their own businesses, providing sustainable income that will also multiply to their surrounding communities giving a dignified and respectable way to earn a living in safe conditions.
